Judge Linda Lawhun - Criminal, Salem County Judge Jean Chetney - Family, Salem County Judge Demetrica Todd - Criminal Recovery Court, Cumberland/Salem County Tariq Chaudhri - Family, Cumberland County (pending appointment) Tosca Bynoe - Family, Gloucester County (pending appointment) Linda Galella - Family, Gloucester County (pending appointment) Candidates should be aware that travel within the tri-county Vicinage may be required and that the position may be reassigned to another county within the Vicinage.
Salary Information:
Salaries listed are based on a 53-week court term.
These are salary levels for the 2023-2024 Court Term.
Superior Court Law Division (Civil, Family, Criminal) - $55,267 Note:
Law clerks work onsite and are not eligible for remote work.
Individuals who have served or are currently serving a trial court or Tax Court clerkship may be eligible to serve an additional one-year clerkship in the Appellate Division or Supreme Court.
Qualifications:
Law clerks must have graduated from a law school approved by the American Bar Association by the time of their law clerk appointment.
The Judiciary's law clerkship program is intended for recent law school graduates, which is defined as graduating within the last four years.
Applicants are required to provide a resume, cover letter, law school transcript, writing sample and references.
Letters of recommendation are optional and if provided, should be uploaded as Other.
Supplemental Information Note:
Law clerks may hold outside employment with prior approval as provided in the Code of Conduct for Judiciary Employees.

Driver's License:
Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
