SALARY:
The salary range for this position is $48,134.
11 to $78,859.
72 for Schedule A, and $48,134.
11 to $74,916.
73 for Schedule B.
For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range.
For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater.
Judiciary employees hired prior to June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule A.
Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule B.

Travel within the tri-county vicinage will be required.
This position may be reassigned to another county within the vicinage.

REMOTE WORK:
The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings.

Example of Duties Vicinage 15 Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties, is seeking a well-organized individual with excellent customer service, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills to work as an Administrative Specialist 2 in the Operations Division.
The selected candidate will maintain the confidentiality of court matters; be adaptable to changing priorities; and be able to multi-task in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
This position will serve as the Vicinage Transcripts Coordinator and is the primary point of contact between the Judiciary and the public in the day-to-day processing of transcript requests for the entire Vicinage.
Under the direction of the Operations Division Manager, or other supervisory personnel, the successful candidate will be responsible for the centralized processing of all non-appeal transcript requests and requests for court audio recordings; ensuring customers receive their requests within required timeframes set by the court; conducting research in various court computer systems; isolating court hearings on the Court Smart digital recording system, processing transcript requests in the Appellate Transcript & Official Court Reporters Management System (ATOMS); communicating with and assigning requests to transcription agencies; providing attorneys and court users with the relevant information in order to finalize the request; ensuring tapes/CDs and/or video recordings of court proceedings are properly stored and maintained; maintaining sound recording equipment in courtrooms; maintaining required physical and electronic records for the unit and files related to processing requests; providing technical assistance in Court Smart and with court room sound recording equipment.
Other duties include, but are not limited to, suggesting improvements in operating procedures, work processes and unit operations; collecting data and compiling records and reports utilizing Excel spreadsheets; composing correspondence; participating in team or work unit meetings; and scheduling meetings and appointments.
The individual must possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills including planning, time management, scheduling, coordinating resources and meeting deadlines.
Performs other related duties as required.
NOTE Physical Ability:
For some positions, applicants must have the ability to perform work which requires climbing and prolonged standing, stretching, bending and reaching.
The selected candidate must be able to frequently lift and carry supplies weighing from 30 to 50 pounds and, occasionally, materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.
Substitution:
Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits.
An associate's degree and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
